Lloyd W. Michael Water Treatment Plant Tours

​CVWD hosts public tours of our Lloyd W. Michael Water Treatment Plant annually, to educate customers about the many steps water goes through before being delivered to homes and businesses. No tours are currently scheduled. Please check back at a later date or visit the calendar section. 

Residential Landscape Workshops

CVWD offers residential workshops focusing on water efficient landscaping throughout the year to help customers become more water efficient with their outdoor water use. Subjects covered include: water efficient irrigation principles, landscape preparation and design, and water savvy plants.

Earth Day & Open House

CVWD's annual Earth Day & Open House is held in April and provides fun and education for the entire family. For full details on our Earth Week event click  here.

Water Savvy Garden Tour

CVWD hosts a Water Savvy Garden Tour to showcase winners from its Water Savvy Landscape Contest and to inspire residents to install beautiful water saving landscapes. Participants are able to see many varieties of water efficient landscaping and receive an abundance of resources to help them with their landscape projects. Learn more here. 
 

Water Awareness Month

May is Water Awareness Month, a statewide campaign that focuses on educating Californians about the value of water in everyday life. CVWD celebrates Water Awareness Month through a variety of activities, including workshops, tours, and programs for students. Customers are encouraged to conduct a home sprinkler system tune-up during Water Awareness Month in May, in anticipation of the warm summer months and increased water use.
