Water Supply Shortage Contigency Plan (WSSCP)
CVWD has established the WSSCP as required by California law. The WSSCP defines provisions that will significantly reduce the consumption of water in order to extend the availability of limited water supplies for the purposes of human consumption, sanitation and fire protection during the time of a water supply emergency. The WSSCP consists of nine stages that progress depending on the severity of the water supply emergency. The stages apply adjustments to the volumetric water use tiers as shown below for a 3/4” water meter:
